Dr. Kevin Gursky's journey in veterinary medicine began at a young age in Springtown, Texas. From the age of nine, he immersed himself in 4-H as an opportunity to showcase his passion for animals. During this time, he bred and raised over 200 rabbits, laying the foundation for his love of animal husbandry.

In middle school, Dr. Gursky's experiences in horse training ignited his lifelong passion for horses. This love led him to join the rodeo team at Tarleton State University, where he thrived. Upon graduating with his bachelor’s degree, he was accepted into Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine but instead pursued an opportunity in the rodeo world, recognizing bull riding as a young man’s game.

Following his years on the rodeo circuit, Dr. Gursky poured himself into breeding and training horses, cattle ranching, and working as a Farrier. While ranching, he encountered a life-changing experience, one that would forever change the course of his life. One of his cherished stallions, Segundo, developed severe lameness, and despite his intuition to correctively shoe the stallion, he hesitated based on “expert advice.” Tragically, the stallion's condition worsened, leading to its death. Motivated by the loss, he enrolled in the Texas A&M veterinary program.

Today, Dr. Gursky continues to find joy in breeding and training his horses. With his unwavering dedication to family values, he founded a brick-and-mortar veterinary clinic, driven by his desire to create an environment where he could share his love for animals with his young daughters. Dr. Gursky is devoted to offering compassionate veterinary care to the community, fueled by his deep love and passion for all animals big and small.
